Sources and verification
Listing facts may come from a business, an authorized representative, official websites, government or tourism sources, direct observation, or a licensed data source. We should record where each fact came from and how we checked it. We should avoid copying protected descriptions or media without permission.
Before a launch listing is treated as verified, its name, category, location, phone, website, and current operating status should be checked against reliable current information. Hours, prices, and availability can still change, so visitors should confirm them directly.
Organic ranking
Organic search results are ordered by relevance to the visitor's search and selected filters. Payment, listing tier, subscriptions, campaigns, and advertising placements do not influence organic ranking. Any paid placement is clearly labeled.
Collections and recommendations
Editorial guides should answer a specific trip-planning question and explain why each place is included. Selection is not a universal claim that a place is best for every visitor. Dates, seasonality, accessibility, budget, age, and location should be made clear when they materially shape a recommendation.
Sponsorship and independence
Payment may provide access to listing tools or labeled ad placements. It does not buy an undisclosed editorial recommendation, a made-up award, or the removal of an accurate correction. Read the Advertising Disclosure for the complete paid-placement policy.
Corrections policy
Anyone may report a factual error. Send the page URL or business name, the disputed information, the proposed correction, and a reliable source through the correction report form. Basic correction reports do not require an account.
We will assess the evidence, contact an appropriate source when needed, and update material inaccuracies. Significant editorial corrections should include a visible note or updated date when that context helps readers understand the change. A business relationship does not determine whether a correction is accepted.
Reviews policy
Myrtle Beach's Best does not currently publish visitor reviews or star ratings. No rating should be inferred from directory inclusion, organic position, or an editorial collection. If first-party reviews are introduced, the site will publish moderation, eligibility, conflict-of-interest, reporting, and aggregation rules before public submissions open.
Ownership and updates
Published guides should name the responsible writer or editor and show published, updated, or last-verified dates where they help visitors. We should review seasonal details and information that changes often more frequently than background material. The initial catalog and guides will not be presented as complete until their source and permissions review is finished.
