# Privacy Policy

**Effective and last updated: July 29, 2026**

This policy applies to the Myrtle Beach's Best website, applications, accounts, directory, business-listing tools, and related services (the **Service**). Myrtle Beach's Best, based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, operates the Service. You may browse the public directory without an account.

## Information we collect

We may collect information you submit, including account details, listing and claim information, content, communications, preferences, and advertiser or transaction information. Transaction information may include billing name and postal address, invoice metadata, and subscription history. Stripe is our selected payment processor. Stripe Elements collects complete payment-card details within our billing pages and sends them directly to Stripe. We retain provider customer, product, price, subscription, invoice, and event identifiers plus normalized subscription status, not complete card or bank-account details. A bank or card issuer may require a Stripe-controlled authentication challenge to approve a payment.

We and our providers may also collect device and browser information, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, referring and viewed pages, interactions, timestamps, cookie or similar identifiers, and security logs. We may receive business information from public sources, businesses, licensors, and data providers.

Cloudflare Turnstile protects sign-in-code requests, correction reports, and listing claims. Cloudflare may process IP address, browser and device signals, challenge interactions, and the verification result to detect automated abuse. We use the result only for security and do not store the Turnstile token. Cloudflare processes the challenge under its [Privacy Policy](https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/) and [Turnstile Privacy Addendum](https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/).

## Sign in with Google

If you choose Sign in with Google, Google authenticates you and may provide the basic profile information you authorize: a Google account identifier, name, email address, email-verification status, and profile image. We use that information to create or connect your account, authenticate you, prevent fraud, and provide account features.

We do not receive your Google password. We do not request Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendars, or other Google-service content unless a future feature clearly asks for separate authorization. We do not sell Google sign-in data, use it to build advertising profiles, or disclose it to advertisers. Our handling of Google API data will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements where applicable.

You may revoke access from your [Google Account connections](https://myaccount.google.com/connections) or disconnect Google from your signed-in account page. We delete the locally stored connection and attempt provider-token revocation. Disconnecting Google does not automatically delete other information stored in your Myrtle Beach's Best account.

## Sign in with Apple

If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple authenticates you and provides a provider-specific identifier and, if authorized, your name and email address. Apple may provide a name only on the first authorization, so we may retain it with your account.

If you choose Hide My Email, we receive and retain Apple's private relay address rather than your underlying email. We do not require you to replace that relay address. Messages are forwarded according to Apple's settings and policies. We do not use Apple sign-in information for targeted advertising or disclose it to advertisers.

You may manage Sign in with Apple and private relay settings in your Apple Account or disconnect Apple from your signed-in account page. We delete the locally stored connection and attempt provider-token revocation when a token and current Apple credentials are available. Disconnecting Apple does not automatically delete your Myrtle Beach's Best account.

## How we use and disclose information

We use information to provide, secure, support, personalize, and improve the Service; authenticate accounts; process listings, claims, advertiser requests, and transactions; communicate with you; comply with law; enforce our terms; and measure performance.

We may disclose information to vendors acting for us, businesses when you request an interaction or submit a claim, parties to a business transaction, authorities when legally required, and others with your direction or consent. Vendors are permitted to process personal information only for contracted purposes. We do not disclose Google or Apple identity-provider data to advertisers.

## Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Essential cookies may maintain sessions, preferences, load balancing, and security. Local-storage values remember your color preference and whether you allowed or declined optional analytics.

Optional cookies and analytics stay off unless you choose **Allow Cookies** in the site's cookie controls. If configured and allowed, Google Analytics may receive online identifiers, device and browser data, approximate location, viewed pages, and usage events under Google's terms. The Service may also record strictly limited first-party interaction counts using a short-lived pseudonymous session. We intend to set Google Analytics event-level retention to no more than 14 months.

You may change your choice at any time through **Cookie choices** in the footer. Choosing **Keep only necessary cookies** or withdrawing consent stops new optional analytics, asks the Service to expire its first-party analytics session, and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site. Global Privacy Control overrides a stored grant and keeps optional analytics off for that browser. We do not currently respond to legacy Do Not Track signals because there is no consistent industry standard for them.

The Service may display clearly labeled sponsored listings, direct-sold ads, affiliate links, or third-party display advertising such as Google AdSense after the applicable approval and privacy controls are complete. Google AdSense may process online identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, page context, and advertising interactions under Google's policies. We do not currently sell personal information for money.

Before enabling display advertising, we will complete the applicable provider consent configuration and any notices, choices, or opt-out rights required by law. Google requires a certified consent management platform when serving ads to visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland. Before enabling interest-based or cross-context behavioral advertising, we will also configure the Service to honor legally required privacy-choice signals.

## Retention, deletion, and rights

We retain account information while an account is active and as reasonably necessary for the Service, security, disputes, legal obligations, and enforcement. Security logs are ordinarily retained for no more than 12 months unless an incident or legal duty requires longer. Backups age out through ordinary cycles. Deletion may not immediately remove cached, archived, backup, aggregated, or legally required records.

Signed-in account holders may download a secret-free JSON export, disconnect Google or Apple, or permanently delete the account from the account page. Deletion requires a recent sign-in and explicit confirmation. It removes the profile, sessions, provider credentials, memberships, favorites, and reviews; de-identifies retained claims, submissions, corrections, media, engagement, and audit records; and suppresses pending account-linked work. Public business facts and de-identified ownership or moderation history may remain for directory operation, disputes, abuse prevention, accountability, or legal duties. Provider revocation is attempted after local credential deletion but may also need to be completed in Google or Apple settings.

To request assistance or exercise applicable access, correction, deletion, portability, consent, or opt-out rights, email [hello@myrtlebeachsbest.com](mailto:hello@myrtlebeachsbest.com) with the subject **Account Deletion Request** or **Privacy Request**. We may verify your identity. If you use Apple Hide My Email, contact us from the relay address or include enough account information for verification.

You may also manage cookies through your browser, communication preferences through provided controls, and provider permissions through Google or Apple account settings.

## Security, transfers, and children

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no system is completely secure. Providers may process information in the United States and other jurisdictions with different laws. The Service is intended for a general audience and not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

## Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised policy and update its effective date, with additional notice for material changes when required.
